Introduction

Prophet Mohammad was born in Makkah in the year 571 A.D.

Introduction

• His father Abd Allah died several weeks before (PBUH)

• And his mother Amina Binit Wahab died when he was 6 years old

• He was raised by his grandfather Abd AlMuttalib until the age of 8

• Then his uncle Abu Talib raised him

Introduction

He had 7 children in total. His sons were Qasim, Abd Allah, and Ibrahim. His daughters were Zainab, Roqayyah , Um Kalthum, and Fatimah.

His Sons

• Qasim died at the age of 2 while Abd Allah and Ibrahim died when they were infants

The Reasons Behind (PBUH) marriages

1. Helping out the widows
2. Creating new family bonds
3. ‘Uniting different clans to spread his message
4. Increasing his credibility by giving his women the opportunity to teach about him and his private life

The Revelation of Islam

Jibril the Arch Angel appeared before Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and said ''Recite", "I am unable to recite", Prophet Muhammad replied. The angel then embraced him profoundly. This happened twice after which the angel commanded Muhammad (PBUH) to recite the first verses of Surat "Al-Alaq''

At the end

• Prophet Muhammad completed his message

• He died the year 632 A.D.
