Module 1

Problem:

After school, you commute a ride home by pedicab. Then, you noticed that there's a rust stain on your uniform. You tried to remove it with soap and water, but still, the stain was not removed.

Idea of Order

proposed procedure/ solution to a problem; based on observed phenomenon;

Idea of Order:

• Gather the things you need (kamias and your unifrom).

• Crush 2 kamias fruits and squeeze the extract to where the stain is in your uniform.

• Let it stay for 10 minutes.

Idea of Causation

the real-life/natural phenomenon explaining your proposed solution to a problem. The scientific concept where you based your proposed solution

Idea of Causation:

Kamias has high oxalic acid content, fruit used to remove stains from clothing and for washing hands, removing rust and stains from metal blades. Kamias has properties that can make rough skin turn back to its normal and supple condition which makes it a better alternative stain remover.

Idea of Chance

refers to uncertainty or possibility of the effectiveness one’s solution to a problem. The uncertainty is caused by underlying factors not under controlled that might affect the outcome of the proposed solution

• Kind of cloth used in your uniform

• It's an old stain and you just found out recently!

• Maybe you mistaken it as a rust stain.

• Varies on the ripeness of kamias
