Tenses

1.Simple Present Tense

•  I /We / You / They + verb

     He/She / It + verb (s/es/ies) 

   

•  Time: always / often / sometimes / seldom / rarely / every ...

  
  

2.Present Continuous Tense

• I + am + verb-ing He/She / It + verb-ing

     We / You / They + are + verb-ing 

   

• Time: now/ at the present moment / at present / When ... / While ... / Look!... / Listen! ... / Be careful! ...

  
  

3.Simple Past Tense

•  I / We / You / They / He/She / It + past form of the verb 

  
  

• Time: yesterday / ago / last ... / just now / this morning

4.Past continuous tense

•   I/ He/She / It + was + verb-ing

    We / You / They + were + verb-ing 

• Time: When ... (2 past actions, the action that took place earlier 

  should be written in the past continuous tense) 

5. Future Tense 

•  I /We / You / They / He/She / It + will + verb

  
  

•  Time: tomorrow / next ... / soon /... later 

6. Present Perfect Tense 

•  I /We / You / They + have + past participle 

    He/She / It + has + past participle 

•  Time: already / yet / since / just / for 5 years

7. Past Perfect Tense 

•  I /We/You / They / He/She / It + had + past participle 

  
  

•   Time: After / Before ... (2 past actions, the one that took place earlier should be written in the past perfect tense)
