What are lab safety rules?

◦Safety rules are instructions to be followed when working in the lab.

They are in place to prevent or minimize the possibility of accidents that may cause injuries or damage property.

◦Laboratory work can be dangerous. All persons using the lab have a responsibility to themselves and others to make the laboratory as safe as possible.

◦To minimize or avoid accidents there are rules to follow when working in the lab.
