  • Training is the process of improving a person’s knowledge and skills for present tasks. 

  • Development is the process by which a person obtains skills and experience.

  • When an employee is equipped with the right skills and knowledge, there will be improvements in their work attitude.

B.  Update Knowledge

  • One has to constantly update one’s knowledge to remain relevant and perform their job task well. 

  • Skills must be updated through training to ensure that technological advances are successfully integrated into the organisation.

Improve Performance

  • Training improves individual, team and corporate performance in terms of output, quality, speed and overall productivity.  

  • Practice increases a learner’s performance.

  • Training and re-training can meet the manpower needs of the organisation’s existing and new posts
