  • A SINGULAR NOUN names one person place or thing.

  • A PLURAL NOUN names more than one person place or thing.

  • Add -s to most singular nouns

  • baker +s = bakers

  • fellow +s = fellows

  • cricket +s = crickets

  • Add -es if the singular noun ends in -s, -ch, -sh, or -x
