What Is a Pronoun?
A pronoun takes the place of a noun.
Examples:
I
you
he
she
it
we
they
Example:
Sarah runs fast. → She runs fast.

What Is Verb Agreement?
A verb must match the pronoun.
✔ If the pronoun is singular, the verb changes one way.
✔ If the pronoun is plural, the verb changes another way.

Singular Pronouns
Singular pronouns talk about one person or thing.
Singular pronouns:
I, he, she, it
Rule:
➡️ With he, she, it, add -s or -es to the verb.
➡️ I does NOT add -s.
Examples:
I walk to school.
He walks to school.
She jumps high.
It rains today.

Plural Pronouns
Plural pronouns talk about more than one.
Plural pronouns:
we, you, they
Rule:
➡️ Do NOT add -s or -es to the verb.
Examples:
We play outside.
You read the book.
They run fast.
