Cardinal numbers adalah angka yang mengatakan berapa banyak dari sesuatu yang ada. Cardinal numbers biasanya digunakan untuk menjelaskan jumlah atau quantity dari sebuah objek

Contoh kalimat:

*My mom bought me 2 (two) new clothes. – Ibuku membelikanku 2 (dua) baju baru.

*We organized 10 (ten) events in this whole year. – Kami mengatur 10 acara sepanjang tahun ini.

Jika kita melihat dari contoh diatas, dapat dilihat bahwa bilangan yang digunakan berfungsi untuk menjelaskan jumlah dari objek yang ada di dalam kalimat tersebut, two clothes dan ten events. Jika Anda menemukan kalimat seperti ini, maka kalimat tersebut menggunakan cardinal number.
