How many family members were there in one viking family?

  • Usually there are 5 family members. Two parents and 1-3 children

  • However, in the viking family, the whole family used to live together in one small house. The parents,children,cousins,grandparents,aunts,uncles used to live together in one house or building!

  • In the viking times, they used to be a building in the community that could house upto 30-50 people.

  • Also, large groups of units lived together in one building or house then, further generation would inherit and use the same building or house
