FDR NOTES
In 1932, Herbert Hoover was not reelected. The American people voted for Franklin Roosevelt.
He believed the government needed to take BOLD action to help with the Great Depression.
He promised America a NEW DEAL.

New Deal NOTES
The New Deal was FDR's plan to help America out of the Great Depression.
It focused on three big areas: Relief, Recovery, and Reform.

WPA Notes
Works Progress Administration (WPA)
This was a part of the New Deal.
This program gave people jobs building roads, bridges, parks, and schools.

TVA NOTES
Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)
Gave people jobs building dams. Some dams also provided electricity.

CCC NOTES
Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)
Gave jobs to young men (18-25) planting trees and maintaining national parks.

This helps take care of elderly and disabled people.
