  • In 1932, Herbert Hoover was not reelected. The American people voted for Franklin Roosevelt.

  • He believed the government needed to take BOLD action to help with the Great Depression.

  • He promised America a NEW DEAL.

  • This was a part of the New Deal.

  • This program gave people jobs building roads, bridges, parks, and schools.
