We found out quite a bit about Montag and his situation.

Today

We will be discussing potential themes of this section. So, let's begin.

Here is the low-down

• At the beginning- Montag felt in control. He had shown Mildred the books, but he was just curious.

• In the middle- Montag started to believe something could change. He met with Faber and started to believe things could change IF the plan worked.

• In the end- Beatty has had the talk with Montag about certainty vs. uncertainty. Montag's secret is out in a big way.

Montag is going through a change.
