• Past-present tense

• We connect events that happened in the past with their impact on present times

I) Something happened and finished in the past. It has an impact on present things

II) Something happened in the past and it is still happening

Past Simple vs Present Perfect

One of them is only in the past.

The other one is connected to the past and to the present.

FOR and SINCE

SINCE (od) --> we on the starting point, e.g.: since I was five years old, since Monday, since 2010

Od kiedy tu jesteś? Od piątej rano (since five A.M.)

FOR (od/przez) --> we focus on the duration, e.g.: for an hour, for a week, for ten years
