Simple Past Tense

• Used to talk about things that happened in the past.

• Or it can be used for things that existed before now.

Example:

• Iman entered a spelling contest last week.

• He won the gold medal yesterday.

PAST TENSE

So, any verbs (action words) that has time before now (example: yesterday, last week, few minutes ago, last month, last year) must be in past tense.
