The downfall of the Muslim Empire:
The Abbasid power started declining.
Caliph's power became limited.
Arab leaders lost control over vast lands of the Islamic Empire.
The Abbasid Caliph remained only as a figurehead.
By the year 1055 A.D, a Seljuk Turk sultan and other Turks settles in Baghdad and took over the reign.

Ibn Rushd: believed that everything should be proved through reason except for the Holy Quran.
Ibn Khaldoun: set the basis for scientific studies of history.
