What does it take to be healthy?

Sleep
Your body needs about 10 hours of sleep. It helps to go to bed around the same time every night and get up around the same time everyday.
Your body and especially your brain need time to slow down and recharge. Even during sleep your body is healing, growing and fighting off germs.
Not enough sleep can make you tired, unable to concentrate, cranky and crabby.

Friends, family and pets can affect how you feel. How you treat people and how people treat you makes a difference in how you feel about yourself. Music, mediation, yoga and talking to somebody can help people cope.

Try to get 60 minutes a day of physical activity.
Exercise helps prevent disease, build and maintain healthy bones and muscles, promotes mental and emotional well-being and contributes to a healthy weight.
