A suffix is a group of letters, or word part, added to the end of a root word to change its meaning or function. When we understand suffixes, it helps efficiently decode multisyllable words and understand the meaning of words.

Today, we're going to learn about the suffix -ion and -sion. You can add them to the ends of words to change the word from a verb (action word) to a noun (person, place, thing, or animal).
