Informal Commands

Used when telling one, informal person what to do, or what not to do.

"Tú" = you, informal

• Sibling

Informal Affirmative Commands

• Telling someone what to do

• Start with a verb (to run - correr)

• Conjugate into the present tense él/ella form (run - corre)

Informal Negative Commands

• Used to tell someone what not to do

• Looks like the "opposite tú form" of a verb

• Start in the "yo" form, then drop the "o" and finally add the opposite "tú" ending

• AR verbs end in "-es" and ER/IR verbs end in "-AS"

Inf. Neg. Command: HABLAR

Start in the "yo" form (hablo)

Then drop the "o" (habl_)

Finally, add the opposite "tú" ending (hables)

NO HABLES (don't talk)
