Earth is great for life because...

• Perfect distance from the sun, not too hot or too cold!

• Plants release oxygen into the air and provide a wonderful food source.

• Liquid water for drinking and other resources.

Since Earth has so many resources for life, our planet is a great place to live. However, we also know our planet has changed a lot over time. Sea levels are rising, average global temperature is rising, and carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is at an all time high.. Our climate is begining to change..

• Climate change is the regional or global change is climate patterns.

• Climate: the primary weather conditions in an area over a long period of time

• Weather: changes in our atmosphere that only last for a short period of time includes: heat, rain, wind, sunshine

The climate in Florida is typically hot and sunny. However, from time to time Florida experiences weather such as rain or snowfall for a couple of days!
