A noun clause is a clause that is used in the same way as a noun or a pronoun.

A clause is a group of words that contains a subject and a verb.

Example:

Peter:  I finally know it! Yay!

John:  What do you know? Why are you so happy?

Peter: I finally know where the pretty girl lives.

3
