Mount Everst is the highest mountin in the world.it is about 8.848 meter high imagine a 100story building.now imagine twenty such buildings, one on top of the other. this is how high mt everest is. this mountain is neamed after sir george everest,who was a british geographer who worked in india between 1820 and 1840.

mt everest is located on the border between tibet and nepal in the himaiaya mountains many people have traid to make the challenging climb to the top of mt everest some hve reached the top,but many people hve died trying to do so. it becomes extremely cold as one gets closer to the top. this makes climbing mt everest very diffcult. people need special equipmwent and clothing to keep themselves warm so they won't freeze during the climb to the top.
