How can we create classroom community between in-person and online groups?

  • Online students report feeling "ignored", but in-person kids don't like logging into webex and being "online".

  • Discussion boards or grouping to connect both groups.

  • Repeat the questions that are asked to ensure both groups hear.

  • Structure questioning so that both groups respond. Ask students from other groups to share what they heard.

  • Stick to a schedule. Online and in-person are both in on the routine.
