Phrases to describe navigation in a city

• an ... vorbei = go past -- an die Kirche vorbei = go past the church

• über = cross / over -- über den Platz = cross the plaza --- über die Brücke = over the bridge

• durch = through -- durch den Park = through the park

• an = to (accusative case) -- an den Strand = to the beach

  an = at / "on" (dative case) -- an der Ecke = at the corner

• zu (zur / zum) = to -- zur Kirche = to the church ---- zum Museum = to the museum

• bis zum/zur = up to ... -- bis zur Ampel = up to the stoplight
