John spent $36 to buy 4 basketballs. What was the price for every basketball?
1. Set up your proportional skeleton with a one in the right denominator. (Do this on your paper).
2. What is the vocabulary term that indicates "one."
3. Determine where price and basketball will go.
4. Fill in the right side of the ratio with the numbers in the problem.
5. Divide the numerator by the denominator to find your unit rate.
