so in todays lesson we will be learning about waves and how they work.

what cause waves?

waves are caused by many different things including the weather.When sunlight strikes the air molecules in Earth’s atmosphere, it causes that heated air to rise, due to its decreased density. This rising air leaves room for colder, denser air to fill in the gaps; the movement of that cold air (wind). This is how a wave is formed.

• Waves in the ocean are mostly generated by the wind moving across the ocean surface. The "medium" is the substance or material that carries a mechanical wave. One of the most important things to remember about waves is that they transport energy, not matter. ... Many waves cannot be seen such as microwaves and radio waves.
