Concordanza con aggettivi (adjective agreement)

In italiano, the last letter of an adjective must agree with the noun it describes in gender (maschile/femminile) and number (singolare/plurale). The last letter of the adjective will actually change depending on what it describes.

In order to make the adjectives agree, we have to remember how to identify the gender and number of a noun.

Due tipi di aggettivi (Two types of adjectives)

Now that we can identify whether a noun is maschile/femminile e singolare/plurale let's look at our types of adjectives.

There are 2 types of adjectives in Italian.

1. Adjectives that end in -o like bello, buono and alto.

2. Adjectives that end in -e like divertente, grande and intelligente.

Again, those endings will change to different letters depending on the noun being described.
