Why use rhetorical devices?
A writer uses rhetorical devices with the purpose of getting the required response from the readers. Writers employ rhetorical devices mostly to evoke an emotional response.

Allusion is a brief and indirect reference to literature, sayings of great men, mythology, religious texts, work of art, or even memorable events.
