ALLER - The Immediate Future

Aller can be used with an infinitive to express something that is about to happen, or is going to happen. For example:

Je parle le français - I am speaking French.

Je VAIS parler le français - I am going to speak French.

This is formed by using the conjugated form of ALLER and the INFINITIVE of the action that is going to happen.

Aller - The Immediate Future

Je nage - I am swimming / Je vais nager - I am going to swim

Tu manges la pizza - You are eating pizza / Tu vas manger la pizza

Il regarde la télé / Il va regarder la pizza.


You have to use conjugated forms of ALLER with the infinitive. You can use the negative too. it has to go around ALLER.

Je ne parle pas le latin. / Je ne vais pas parler le latin.
