Battement Tendu

  • we can do Battement Tendu in devant,ala seconde(to the side) and derriere

  • through your demi pointe to pointe

  • to strech your working leg

Battement Glisse

  • sliding or gliding you working leg fast and sharp

  • we have glisse devant,glisse to second,glisse derriere and glisse at first position

  • we have two type of Ronde Jambe

  • 1.Ronde Jambe A Terre:Ronde Jambe at floor

  • 2.Ronde Jambe En L'air:Ronde Jambe on the air

  • Ronde Jambe A Terre and Ronde Jambe En L'air have en dedans and en dehors

Battement Fondu

  • like an ice cream melt

  • squizzz your turn out very slow,like the ice cream is melting

  • we have Battement Fondu devant,ala seconde(to seconde) and derriere

  • to develop or to unfold your working leg

  • tips:after you develop your leg,you can have a extand move with a deep breath

  • when you doing adage,you must very slow,soft and controlled movement

  • using your muscle to help you when you doing adage exercise

  • Petit Battement is a small beating action

  • place your leg at your ankle

Battment Frappe

  • when you doing battment frappe,you must brush the floor

  • when you strike,you must fast and sharp,like doing battment glisse

  • we have devant,ala seconde and derrire

Battment Jete

  • your working leg must quickly gets to the top of the position as apposed to slowly

  • it's a quicker grand battement jete leads to a better grand allegro

Battment pique

  • pique means your working leg pointing the floor and pickup fastly

  • we have pique devant,pique to second and pique derriere

Grand Battement

  • Grand means big in french

  • throwing your working leg into the air from your hip and brings it back down to a position,normaly is fifth position

Battement Lent

  • Battment Lent is a slow move of grand battment

  • we often do battment lent with doing arabesque
