Tense review (Present, past and future)

Simple Present

• We use the Simple present to talk about something that is true now - in the present. I'm Bolivian.

• We also use it to talk about habits or something that happens regularly in the present. I play Fornite almost every day.

• We also use it to express facts. The capital of Bolivia is Sucre.

Simple Past

• We use this tense to talk about a completed action in a time before now. I graduated from school in 2007. I had pizza for dinner last night.

• The time of the action can be recent or distant past.

• We use different time expressions. Last year. A month ago. In 2006.

• There are regular and irregular past verbs.

Future (plans)

• We use ‘going to’ to talk about our future plans.

  I’m going to write my homework tonight.

  They’re going to watch a film this weekend.

• We always use VERB TO BE (am, is, are) in this tense.

• We use time expressions like tomorrow, next month, in the future.
