I will be able to multiply unit fractions to build fractions greater than 1.

Step 1: Multiply the numerators.

Multiply the numerators

Write your new product and convert it to a mixed fraction if you're able to.

If you are multiplying by a whole number, make the whole number into a fraction and multiply.

 $5\ \times\ \frac{1}{6}\ =\frac{5}{1}\ \times\ \frac{1}{6}\ =\ \frac{5}{6}$
