NOTE: The slides in these notes don't let you write or draw on them. For any prompt given in the notes, you will answer them on the following slide.. Answer the prompts in your notes before moving to the next slide.

3

Today's Objectives: I can...

  • Define Acceleration

  • Calculate acceleration and the distance moved by a falling object

  • Identify graphs of accelerated motion

Remember: an object that is speeding up will have a distance v. time graph that starts flat then gets steeper.

Distance v. time graphs for objects slowing down start steep and end flat.

Poll

On a scale of 1-5, how do you feel about our first objective: "I can define acceleration"

1 -- I have no idea how to do this

2 - I'm struggling and can use a little help

3 -- I might need more practice examples to try on my own

4 -- I understand

5 -- I got it and I can teach it to others

30

Poll

On a scale of 1-5, how do you feel about our second objective: "I can define acceleration"

1 -- I have no idea how to do this

2 - I'm struggling and can use a little help

3 -- I might need more practice examples to try on my own

4 -- I understand

5 -- I got it and I can teach it to others

31

Poll

On a scale of 1-5, how do you feel about our third objective: "I can identify graphs of accelerated motion."

1 -- I have no idea how to do this

2 - I'm struggling and can use a little help

3 -- I might need more practice examples to try on my own

4 -- I understand

5 -- I got it and I can teach it to others
