• It is the number of cubic units needed to fill a solid figure without gaps or overlaps.

• A rectangular prism is a solid figure with six rectangular faces.

• There are two parallel bases with the same size and shape and two pairs of parallel faces, each pair with the same size and shape.

• 1st way - Count the number of cubes in the top layer or in the front layer. Then multiply by the total number of layers in the solid figure.
