Prepositional phrases ALWAYS start with a preposition
Prepositions can modify a veb, adverb, or adjective by telling where, in what manner, or to what extent
Prepositions can modify nouns or pronouns by telling which one or what kind (also an adjective phrase)

Start with the preposition and include all words that go along with it to modify the noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, or adjective
Example: I ran around the track yesterday at practice.
Sentences can have more than one prepositional phrase.

BE CAREFUL WITH "TO"
"To" is not always a preposition. It is only a preposition when it means "in the direction of"
Examples: to the store, to school, to the concert
It is NOT a preposition when paired with a verb (to go, to run, to pick)
