Multiplying Fractions Review

  • Multiplying fractions is no problem. Top times top and bottom times bottom. Before you say goodbye, don't forget to simplify!

  •  34 × 25 = 620 ÷ 2 = 310\frac{3}{4}\ \times\ \frac{2}{5}\ =\ \frac{6}{20}\ \div\ 2\ =\ \frac{3}{10}

Dividing Fractions Review

  • First, change any whole numbers to fractions and any mixed numbers to improper fractions.

  • KEEP the first fraction

  • CHANGE to multiplication

  • FLIP the second fraction (reciprocal)

  • SOLVE the multiplication problem

  •  4 ÷ 23 > 41 ×32 = 122 = 64\ \div\ \frac{2}{3}\ ->\ \frac{4}{1}\ \times\frac{3}{2}\ =\ \frac{12}{2}\ =\ 6
