Example:
direct speech: 'I work in a bank,' said Daniel.
reported speech: Daniel said that he worked in a bank.

Direct Speech: Jamila said: "I travel a lot in my job."
Reported Speech: Jamila said that she travelled a lot in her job.
PRESENT CONTINUOUS - PAST CONTINUOUS
Direct Speech: João said: "The baby is sleeping!"
Reported Speech: He told me the baby was sleeping.
