Chief of State
As Chief of State, the president serves as the symbolic leader of the United States.
In this role, the President may celebrate American war heroes, give the State of the Union Address, and make public appearances such as throwing out the first pitch at baseball games.

The President serves as the leader of the entire Executive Branch.
The President has a cabinet (not the thing used for storage) that is made up of leaders of different parts of the Executive Branch. Members of the Cabinet help the President make decisions.
