  • WE USE COMPARATIVES + THAN TO COMPARE TWO THINGS "Computers are bigger than cellphones"

Spelling rules

  • After one-syllable adjective we ad -er / -est

  • After -e we add -r /-st

  • After one vowel and one consonant, we double the final consonant and add -er/-est

  • For two or more syllable adj. we add more/most + the adj.

  • After two syllable adj. ending in -y we change it to -i and add er- /-est
