Spelling rules
After one-syllable adjective we ad -er / -est
After -e we add -r /-st
After one vowel and one consonant, we double the final consonant and add -er/-est
For two or more syllable adj. we add more/most + the adj.
After two syllable adj. ending in -y we change it to -i and add er- /-est
