Mean Absolute Deviation

  • The mean absolute deviation is on average how far away the numbers in a data set are from the mean.

  • To find it, first find the mean. Next calculate the absolute value of the difference (or the distance) between each data value and the mean. Remember the absolute value is the distance between that number and 0. Finally, find the mean of each of these differences.

3

Multiple Choice
