Mean

• The average of a set of data

• To find the mean, you must add all of the numbers, then divide by the amount of numbers there are.

The number in the middle AFTER ordering the numbers from least to greatest.

Example: 12, 18, 22, 13, 11, 20, 19

The number in the middle should be 18.

Median

If there are 2 numbers in the middle:
Add the 2 numbers together, then divide by 2.
Example: 15, 16, 18, 9, 18, 17, 19, 19, 4, 36
Order: 4, 9, 15, 16, 17, 18, 18, 19, 19, 36
Middle numbers are 17 and 18.
Add- 17 + 18 = 35
Divide by 2-  35 /2 = 17.5

Median- 17.5

If there is not a number that does not repeat, then you MUST answer with NO MODE.

There may also be more than one mode.

Example: 1, 6, 9, 15, 17
