  • The average of a set of data

  • To find the mean, you must add all of the numbers, then divide by the amount of numbers there are.

If there are 2 numbers in the middle:
Add the 2 numbers together, then divide by 2.
Example: 15, 16, 18, 9, 18, 17, 19, 19, 4, 36
Order: 4, 9, 15, 16, 17, 18, 18, 19, 19, 36
Middle numbers are 17 and 18.
Add- 17 + 18 = 35
Divide by 2-  35 /2 = 17.5

Median- 17.5
