  • Percents are out of 100

  • 1/4% = 1/4 / 100 (1/4 of one box out of 100 shaded)

  • 5% = 5/100 (5 boxes out of 100 shaded)

  • 48% = 48/100 (48 boxes out of 100 shaded)

  • 350% = 350/100 (3 WHOLE 10x10 grids shaded and 50 of a fourth)
