What is a tag question ?

it is a mini question at the end of a sentence . We use tag questions to ask for confirmation. They mean something like:(Do you agree? or Is that right?) اليس كذلك؟

The rule of tag question :

Helping verb + pronoun

Helping verb

negative >positive

positive> negative

are> are't

don't > do

isn't > is

is > isn't

will > won't

can >can't

haven't >have

pronoun :

The pronoun doesn't change .

Example: She doesn't like apples, does she?

If the subject is a name or a person we must derive a pronoun: Examples:Ahmad didn't come, did he?

The teacher is not here? is he/she?

if the subject is a demonstrative pronoun (اسم اشارة):

this/that > it

these/those > they

Note : there > there (تبقى كما هي)
