Which is which? How do you use it right?

Adjectives
We use adjectives to describe things, people and places.
Examples:
sad, funny, tall, big, fast, slow, warm, nice, good, green, blue, etc.
"Our new neighbor Adam is a tall, nice person."
"The dark sky is beautiful and full of shiny stars."

Adverbs
Adverbs describe, how something happens or how somebody does something. They always refer to a verb.
Regular adverbs are formed with the ending "-ly"
Examples:
quickly, slowly, nicely, carefully, surely
"Come here quickly! You can surely help."
"You did a good job. Nicely done!"
