Look for proper nouns; capitalized words are a giveaway.
Even if you don't know the full meaning of the allusion, even if you've never seen it before, you know they must be referencing something specific.

1st Person: narrator is in the story, uses I, me, my, and we
2nd Person: rare - narrators talks about "you," the reader
3rd Person: narrator is outside the story, talks about he, she, they
Objective: no thoughts or feelings described
Limited: tracks one character's thoughts and feelings
Omniscient: describes all characters thoughts and feelings
