Noun 1 は　Noun 2　です。

（particle は　is use as topic marker)

example

わたし　は　ローズ　です。

I am Rose.

ドムさん　は　がくせい　です。

Dominic is a student.

Noun 1 は　Noun 2　じゃ　ありません。

or

Noun 1 は　Noun 2　では　ありません。

(this pattern is the opposite of です。）

田中さん　は　先生　じゃ　ありません。

Mr. Tanaka is not a teacher.

田中- たなか

先生- せんせい

Noun1 は　Noun2 ですか。(this particle is placed at the end of the sentence for asking a question)

あのひと　は　いしゃ　ですか。

Is that person a doctor ?

(あなた　の）なまえ　は　なん　ですか。

What is your name ?

あのひと　は　だれ　ですか。

Who is that person ?

Ｎも。（this particle means also)

ドムさん　も　インジニエヤ。

Dom is also an engineer.

What is your name ？

～さん　suffix added for names(we do not use さん for our own name)

わたし　は　ドムさん　です。(X)

わたし　は　ドム　です。(O)
