When do we use the futur simple?

• to talk about what WILL happen in the future

• the future tense is shown in French by the ending placed on the verb

• it is different from the futur proche that uses "aller" (going to) + the infinitive

How is the futur simple formed?

• Find the stem by taking the infinitive of the verb.

• If it is an -re verb, remove the "e".

• Add the endings, which are similar to the conjugation of the verb "avoir": -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont
