Describe the colour of your different body parts

In French, we have masculine and feminine nouns. So when we are describing them using colours, we normally match up the colour with the gender of the noun.

So Masculine noun = Masculine Colour

Feminine noun = Feminine colour

To make a colour feminine, we simply add an 'e' at the end. For example;

Noir - noire

vert - verte

When the name of a colour already ends with an 'e' we don't add another 'e'.

For example;

Rose - Rose

Rouge - Rouge

When talking about plural nouns for example the eyes/ears/hair...the colour will also be in plural

For example; noirs, jaunes,

So you add an 's' to the feminine form of the colour.

Use the expression 'j'ai'

For example - I have red eyes
