Verb Conjugations

  • Verbs have different rules for formation based on the conjugation of the verb

  • -are verbs are 1st conjugation

  • -ēre verbs are 2nd conjugation

  • -ere verbs are 3rd conjugation

  • -ire verbs are 4th conjugation

  • 1st and 2nd conjugation verbs are grouped together because they follow similar formation rules, while 3rd and 4th conjugation verbs are grouped together due to their similarities

3rd and 4th Conjugation Verbs - Present

  • For 3rd-io and 4th conjugation, an -i- is added in front of the 1st singular and the 3rd plural
