La conjugaison des verbes ER

Remember there are 2 steps to conjugating and ER verb in French :

• 1) drop the -ER

• 2) add the ending that matches the name(s) or subject pronoun

Example #1

• Je regarde la télé. (I am watching TV.)

• regarder is conjugated with je by dropping the -er and adding an "e"for je

La pronunciation

• The -es ending for tu is written but it is NOT PRONOUNCED.

• For example, when joues is spoken it sounds like joue

Example #2

• Tu chantes bien! (You sing well!)

• chanter is conjugated with tu by dropping the -er and adding "es" for tu (remember the "s" is not pronounced)

Example # 3

• Elle joue au volley. (She is playing volleyball.)

• jouer is conjugated with elle by dropping the -er and adding "e" for elle

• Mme Staub aime le chocolat. (Mme Staub likes chocolate.)

• aimer is conjugated with Mme Staub by dropping the -er and adding "e" for Mme Staub (1 name)

• For example, when dansent is spoken it sounds like danse
