形容詞の変化について学習しよう

フランス語の形容詞の女性形

フランス語の形容詞及び名詞は、男性・女性形、単数・複数形がある。

・形容詞とは、「bon (=良い、美味しい)」「beau (=美しい)」「rouge (=赤い)」など名詞や代名詞を修飾する語であり、関連する名詞や代名詞と、性と数を一致させる

・職業を示す名詞も形容詞と同様に男性形・女性形、単数・複数形がある

例）男子学生は「un étudiant」 で女子大生は「une étudiante」

男性系に「e」をつける基本的変化

• français→française

• petit→petite

「e」で終わっているものは女性形も同形

• jeune→jeune

• célibataire→célibataire

• ただし「é」で終わっているものは「e」をつける　例）marié→mariée

「-en」「-on」「-el」で終わっているものは、子音を重ねて「e 」をつける

• parisien→parisienne

• bon→bonne

• actuel→actuelle

「-er」で終わっているものは「-ère」になる

• étranger→étrangère

• boulanger→boulangère

「-f」で終わっているものは「-ve」になる

• sportif→sportive

• actif→active

「-eur」「-eux」で終わっているものは「-euse」になる

• serveur→serveuse

• heureux→heureuse

• menteur→menteuse

• ただし、ほとんど全ての職業の名詞で語末が "-teur" で終わっているものは "-trice"になる 例）acteur→actrice, réalisateur→réalisatrice

不規則に変化する形容詞

• beau→belle

• blanc→blanche

• doux→douce

• faux→fausse

• long→longue

• frais→fraîche

• gros→grosse

フランス語の形容詞の複数形

・複数形は、単数形に"-s" をつけるのが原則だが、その規則に従わないものもある。

・フランス語は複数形の "-s"　をつけても［s］は発音しない。

単数形に「-s」をつける基本的変化

• étudiant→étudiants

• petit→petits

単数形が「-s」「-x」「-z」で終わるものは複数も同形

• français→français

• voix→voix

「-eau」「-eu」で終わるものは「-x」をつける

• beau→beaux

• cheveu→cheuveux

「-al」で終わるものは、その部分を「-aux」にする

• journal→journaux

• cheval→chevaux

• 例外：carnaval→carnavals, festival→festivals, final→finals

特殊な形に変化する名詞の複数形

• un oeil→les yeux

• un jeune homme→des jeunes gens

• madame→mesdames

• monsieur→messieurs

• mademoiselle→mesdemoiselles
