JFK

• John Fitzgerald Kennedy ( JFK) served as the 35th president of the United States from 1961 until his assassination.

• Kennedy served at the height of the Cold War.

• On November 22, 1963, was assassinated as he rode in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas, Texas.

Lyndon Johnson

• President Lyndon Johnson became president when John F. Kennedy was assassinated in November of 1963. 

• Johnson introduced the “Great Society,” a federal program that aimed to eliminate poverty, improve urban infrastructure, protect the environment, and improve public education. 

Richard Nixon

• Richard Nixon served as President serving from 1969 to 1974.

• The Watergate scandal was a major political scandal involving President  Nixon's administration from 1972 to 1974 and resulted in Nixon's resignation. 

Ronald Reagan

• Ronald Reagan served as the 40th president of the United States from 1981 to 1989.

• He was a popular two-term president.

• He cut taxes, increased defense spending, negotiated a nuclear arms reduction agreement with the Soviets. And he is credited with helping to bring a quick end to the Cold War.
